Camping campfire van caravan

If you have your own accommodation, whether a caravan, van, trailer, tent or something else, you are most welcome to come and stay at Pilliga Pottery Creative Farmstay. We offer un-powerd campsites only.

As well as farm animals, the farm hosts a thriving community of birds, well-designed bush tracks where you can discover local wildlife, plants, Aboriginal artifacts, great lookouts, sandstone cliffs and caves all in the midst of the Pilliga Forrest.

Our Blue Wren Bush Cafe is open 6 days a week. We serve traditional European-inspired fresh foods with ingredients from our organic greenhouse and homemade Gelato. The Pottery is open 7 days, offering demonstrations and workshops.

While staying on our land you can also enjoy feeding the pet animals, our refreshing saltwater pool, and campfires when conditions allow. You are welcome to gather dropped branches off our land or buy some chopped fire wood at reception.

Bring your telescope if you like to observe the sky closely. We also welcome dogs and horses. Please check our pet-friendly policy here.

Please note that we do not provide access to electricity or water as we are fully off the grid.

Goanna Campground

Campsites are located closer to the swimming pool, creek, volleyball court, play ground, animals, cafe and pottery. One toilet block is located within the Goanna grounds, another one and showers are located next to the Cafe. This campground is ideal for people who would like to be in the middle of everything as well as families. It is only a short walk to all the fun. The Goanna campground has some flat areas and some slopped once which makes it a great choice all year round.

Kellie’s Campround

Choose from a wide variety of camping sites ranging from creek-side camping, bush or open paddock sites. Kellie’s campground is spacious, shady and flat. However if you visit us during wet weather, it can get boggy in some spots. We built a new toilet and shower block near the entrance which offers dishwashing facilities as well. This campground is ideal for nature lovers and people who love their privacy.

Good to know

We don’t allocate campsites, it’s a first in first serve system. We ask our guests to set up camp in a way to leave space for others and share allocated fire pits if needed. All guests need to sign in upon arrival at @ reception. If you arrive after hours please sign in the next day.

If you are planing on using a generator please set up away from non-generator campers. We ask not to use generators between 8pm and 8am.

Pilliga Pottery and “Barkala” farm is a operating farm with animals, dams, creeks, electric fences and gates surrounding the property. Children must be supervised at all times to ensure their safety. Gates need to be left as you found them to ensure our animals can get to a water source.

We ask that you take your rubbish with you as we don’t have council rubbish removal.
The closest shopping and dumping point is in Coonabarabran (30mins south)
